Outdoor play is beneficial for all children. It allows them to interact with nature and their environment, while also getting the exercise crucial to health and development. By enabling children, young people and adults to interact together, a play area can unite a community.

Inclusive Play Design Guide

GEA proudly offers and promotes Inclusive Play. Through the Inclusive Play Design Guide we can all help create great outdoor play environments for everyone.

This means typically-developing children, children with a cognitive disability, children on the autism spectrum and those who use a wheelchair.

Everyone also means family members, adults, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Inclusive design is meant for all persons, young, old and disabled.

The Inclusive Play Design Guild offers strategies and solutions to the challenges that face communities in their journey to inclusive play.
